Breathing in the Heart of the Goddess
The Spiritual significance of running Transformational Breath® Training Programme in Glastonbury
After attending this conference around the world for the past 10yrs this was the first time I felt inspired to offer my own unique breath workshop, why was this?
While chatting with other participants over mealtimes, it became clear to me that many people outside
the UK simply are not aware of the existence or significance of the town of Glastonbury, the Spiritual Mecca of Britain, with its rich history and mythology or even its world-famous music festival.
I have been organising Training Seminars in the Glastonbury area since 2015, and I’m also Co-Training at
these events with Vincent Oloo from Kenya, from 2019 we are running the Full Training Programme
annually here on this ‘Sacred Isle of Avalon’ which is the heart chakra of planet earth.

At the International Breathwork Foundation Conference in summer 2018, many times over lunch and
dinner I found myself describing where I live and what I do, as I did this it dawned on me how inextricably
linked Transformational Breath® teachings are to the sacred landscape and history of Glastonbury.
Glastonbury is known as The Isle of Avalon, has been a place of pilgrimage since before records began,
Pre-Christian Druids, Pagans and Goddess Religions worshipped here, visiting the 9 wells dotted
around this beautiful sacred landscape, the whole area is riddled with mythology and legend, it’s said that
King Arthur, and Guinevere, are buried in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. It’s known to be a place of
High Vibrational Energies, a powerful vortex on the planetary grid, sitting right on top of the Mary and Michael lay-lines which cross at the high altar of The 12th Century Abbey.
These ‘old religions’ such a Druidry or Goddess Religions are all based upon honouring the earth and the
seasons, with the wheel of the year, celebrating Equinoxes and solstices, the feminine and the mother who gives birth to all life.
The wheel of the year has its roots in Druidism and Ancient Goddess religions
So how does this relate to Judith Kravitz Teachings? In Transformational Breath®, we learn to breathe into
our belly’s, because this is our original breath. Our natural grounded breath starts in our root in our base
chakra, which is all about foundations and safety. Nature shows us how our connection to our mother must
come first, we know psychologically that without feeling safe, loved and nurtured by our mum we
can never fully thrive and grow into strong and confident adults, unless we fully integrate, forgive and heal these patterns nurture interrupts.
Plants model this for us too, have you ever sprouted seeds? What happens? They push a root out into the
earth first to create foundations and stability, before they grow a shoot up into the light. This is exactly
what we teach in Transformational Breath®, that we need to be grounded firstly to feel safe in our
foundation, to grow roots into the earth and connect with the Divine Mother. Only then we can connect to
the Divine Father and bring the breath up into our higher chakras and connect our personal will and lower chakras to our heart, mind and intellect and higher Chakras and our Divine father, Glastonbury Tor with the remains of a church tower on the top, we come here to tone during our training it has great acoustics.
I have great respect and reverence for my own ancestral roots which lie in this land and I feel that its
important to acknowledge the role of the church in holding space spiritually in England for almost 2,000
years. Until we have reached this new age of awakening, however, distorted Christianity has become from
the original Aramaic teachings of Christ/Joshua that Judith points out in her book Laugh Loudly Breathe
Deeply! The Church has continued to celebrate the seasons and sing praises for all of creation with its bells, choirs and congregations.
The ruins of this same Abbey cradle the birthplace of the Christian church in England. It's believed that
Christ himself visited the town in his early years with his uncle Joseph of Arimathea, and that his wisdom
came from the Druid’s of this land. After Christ’s death, it is said that Joseph returned and planted his
crown of thorns in the ground, where a thorn bush still grows today.
Thousands of visitors and pilgrims of all denominations flock here every year to partake in both Christian
and pre-Christian rituals organised by local people using ancient traditions honouring the seasons and the wheel of the year.
When it arrived in England, The Christian Church placed its religious festivals on top of the wheel of the
year, used by the old druidic and goddess religions; therefore this wheel was already deeply embedded in
the psyche of the people living in this land. For example, Ostara became Easter and Lamas, Harvest
festival. I feel a deep affinity to following this wheel and often weave these seasonal themes into my
workshops and teachings. It is basically all about honouring and celebrating the seasons, respecting and loving the land and one another and our own divinity.
Then along came Christianity with God and Patriarchy, taking our consciousness into higher realms and
taking us outside of ourselves. This is exactly what happened archetypally here in Glastonbury and all over
Europe and the world. In fact, the old Druidic, Pagan and Shamanistic religions were rooted in Goddess culture, they knew this wisdom thousands of years ago.
This part must come second. Just like a seed only puts up a shoot
into the light once it has a root into the earth first.
Glastonbury can do both because it’s in the collective memory of the land, so I personally believe that is
the perfect place in England to be doing this beautiful, powerful and loving work, because in
Transformational Breath® we believe that breathing into our bellies is of primary importance,
receiving the compassionate, nurturing and loving energy of The Goddess in this green and pleasant land.

I first qualified as a Rebirther in 2002 Before I Trained in Transformational Breath® I was trained by Christina Artemis who taught me all about the tarot, archetypes and The Goddess. In addition, I grew up in the mountains In the North Of England so camping, mountain walking and a love of Nature is part of who I feel so connecting to God, Goddess and my divinity through nature and this has been with me for as long as I can remember, for me walking alone in nature is a deeply spiritual experience as conscious breathing is xx
I also grew up in the church and was a Sunday School Teacher back in the ’80s and Vincent is an active member of his Church in Nairobi, as well as stating his life in a traditional tribal village and also very living close to the earth. I love the way that Vincent and my past and present weave so beautifully into the landscape and history of Glastonbury.
Glastonbury embraces its past and all of its archetypal aspects with grace, masculine and feminine, dark
and light, Paganism and Christianity. For example, a few years ago, I attended a funeral in St Johns
Church. The vicar not only has purple hair and makes crystal jewellery. She also embraces the diversity of
this community. We had psychedelic music playing as everyone arrived, there were my friend Lou’s
sacred geometry banners hanging from the church pillars. We opened and closed the ceremony with the 4 directions, the traditional Pagan ritual for any ceremony or celebration.
Glastonbury for me is fully immersed in diversity and embraces all of its past, which is exactly what we are practising in our inner worlds and teaching our trainees to do too.
Glastonbury it’s beautiful to be able to hold space with Vincent her too his wisdom and gentleness allow
our clients to go deeply into their process. Held by the fully embodied Masculine and Feminine
within both of us and in this very special sacred. I love the way that we weave together land.
